Dr. Kevin Weitzel is a pediatric dentist at the practice of Dr. Kevin T. Weitzel and Dr. Emmy Burns, Pediatric and Adolescent Dentistry. Dr. Weitzel received his Bachelor of Arts degree from Miami University in Oxford, Ohio. He graduated with his DMD from the Case Western College of Dentistry and also received a Master of Science degree from The Ohio State University. He completed his pediatric dentistry residency program at Nationwide Children’s Hospital as Chief Resident of Dental Services, which served as the perfect training ground for his day-to-day work with kids.
Dr. Weitzel is a board certified pediatric dentist and a diplomat of the American Board of Pediatric Dentistry. He’s a member of the American Dental Association, The Ohio Dental Association and The Columbus Dental Association.
His love of pediatric dentistry started when, as a child, even though he says he had his share of cavities, he enjoyed going to the dentist. “I know what it’s like to be a kid in the dental chair!” says Dr. Weitzel.
Dr. Weitzel says his favorite part of his job is, “Seeing the pride and joy in a parents’ face when their child does something that they didn’t think they could do and that visit when a child ‘turns the corner’ and does a great job for the first time.”
Dr. Weitzel’s favorite pastime is spending time with his wife, Stephanie and their two children; they enjoy weekly visits to the zoo. Dr. Weitzel loves sandwiches; “All types!” he says. His favorite children’s movie is “Shrek.”
